GREaT Training (Graduation Rate, Enrich, and Transcripts) is a required annual training for all Greenville County high school principals and school level graduation rate teams. This comprehensive training includes a deep dive into the graduation rate process from initiation of the 9GR graduation cohort, graduation rate team responsibilities, school-level best practices, accountability, record keeping, and requests for records, acceptable documentation requirements, adult education students, special program codes, on-track to graduate, coding, early, winter, and summer graduates, transcripts and interactively working within the Enrich Graduation Rate Portal.

Online educational applications and services are becoming an increasingly important part of what teachers and schools use to educate our children. But have you ever stopped to think about the privacy implications of using always-on, always-connected applications and technology in the classroom? The U.S. Department of Education, through the Student Privacy Policy Office (SPPO)'s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC presents a discussion of how the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) applies in the context of education technology and provides a roadmap to understanding how to protect student privacy in the digital context. PTAC aims, with this session, to give the audience the tools and knowledge necessary to evaluate these apps for privacy protections and learn how to identify applications which may not put student privacy at the forefront.

Absenteeism - Keep them on track

Students with chronic absenteeism sometimes cannot help their attendance alone. While we use the proper reporting protocols, speak to parents, and sometimes resort to using the court system, what can we do when they are present?
